A High-Energy Night of Football, Fun, and Fundraising
Be part of the inaugural Raising the Roar, the new signature annual event benefiting South Lyon High School Football.
This isn't a football game. It's an interactive football experience where Team Coaches roll the dice to move quarterbacks toward the end zone while teams compete and fans cheer every exciting play. Add great food, friendly competition, raffles, prizes, and Lion pride, and you've got an unforgettable evening unlike any other.
Whether you'd like to cheer from the fan section, join a sponsored team, lead a team as a Team Coach, or take the field as your team's Quarterback, there's a game day experience for everyone. Explore the ticket options above and choose how you'll be part of the action!
Fans cheer, compete, and participate in live QB Drives to the End Zone as we raise funds to support and advance our student-athletes and football program — one yard at a time.

HOW THE GAME WORKS
🏈 Six Live QB Drives
The event features 6 QB Drives to the End Zone — one per quarter plus overtime drives.

Each team has a Coach and QB.

Coaches roll a single die on stage for their team's Quarterback.

QBs advance (or retreat) based on the roll.

Fans cheer on QBs and place bets on each drive.

The first QB to reach the end zone wins the drive and is entered into the Winning QB Prize Drawing.

Games, Contests & Ways to Win
RAFFLES:
Drive — minimum of one $5 raffle ticket/person per drive required
Fans purchase raffle tickets based on which QB they believe will reach the end zone first on each drive. The more tickets you buy, the greater your odds of winning the prizes for the Winning QB raffle and the Losing QB raffle.
Prizes — $5/ticket or $20 for 5

Buy-a-Flag Penalty — $25/ticket (1x per quarter)
Fans purchase raffle tickets for the chance to “throw a flag” and push another suite’s QB back 10 yards. The winner is drawn at random.
50/50 Raffle
Traditional arms-length and single-ticket sales.

FAQs
Is this a 21+ event?
Yes. Due to alcohol and gaming elements, all attendees must be 21 or older.
Is the event limited to only SLHS football families?
No! The Raising the Roar Fundraiser is open to everyone in the community, not just football families. Friends, neighbors, alumni, local businesses, and supporters of all kinds are welcome to attend.

Are any of the in-house raffles required?
Yes — all guests are expected to purchase at least one $5 raffle ticket for all 6 QB Drives. Guests buy raffle tickets based on which QB they believe will reach the end zone first on each drive. The more tickets you buy, the greater your odds of winning the prizes for the Winning QB raffle and the Losing QB raffle.
This is part of the core fundraising activity and event experience.
How do I become a Coach or QB?
Both of these upgraded experiences are ad-ons to the Team Ticket. Please purchase your Team Ticket and then add on which upgrade you prefer, either Coach or Quarterback.
What should I wear?
Spirit wear, jerseys, ref shirts, cheer gear, or sponsor colors!
Is dinner included?
Yes. Both Fan and Team tickets include a buffet.
Is alcohol included?
Guests receive drink tickets with their admission.
Additional alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at the cash bar.
Do I have to know football?
Not at all.
The rules are simple, and we'll explain everything before the first QB Drive begins.
Can businesses purchase Team Tickets?
Yes!
Businesses, friends, families, neighborhoods, and organizations are all encouraged to form teams.
Can I purchase multiple Team Tickets?
Absolutely.
Is the money I spend on tickets, raffles, and games tax-deductible?
Yes. Purchases made for event admission, raffle tickets, and fundraising activities are considered charitable contributions to the South Lyon High School Football Boosters, a qualifying nonprofit organization.
When you purchase tickets or participate in raffles through Zeffy, you will automatically receive an emailed receipt that can be used for your records and tax purposes. Please consult your tax advisor for personal tax guidance.
Can I attend if I don't know anyone?
Absolutely! Many guests come with friends, coworkers, or family, but everyone is welcome.
Is the Raising the Roar Fundraiser legally licensed?
Yes. The Raising the Roar Fundraiser is fully licensed and approved by the State of Michigan Charitable Gaming Division.
